The Non-Executive Board brings additional experience, perspective and reach to BABC Texas. This group supports the Executive Board in delivering our strategy, strengthening governance, and expanding our impact across the UK–Texas business community.
Jordan Minjoot – Assistant Vice President, Commercial Banker at b1 BANK based in Houston, TX.
Jordan supports small and mid-sized businesses with their commercial banking needs across a range of industries, specializing in conventional lending, SBA financing, and a full suite of deposit products.
Originally from Warrington, England, he relocated to the U.S. as a student-athlete and earned a BBA in Finance with an emphasis in Accounting from The University of Texas. A four-year member of the Men’s college tennis team, serving as captain in senior year, he competed as a dual-sport athlete in tennis and soccer during junior year.
“I am really pleased to join the Non-Executive Board for BABC Texas. I have enjoyed my time as a member of the organization, meeting so many great people and businesses. This is an amazing opportunity to learn how things operate behind the scenes, and I’m excited to help wherever I can. My focus will primarily be working with the Events Committee, which has already been eye-opening in understanding everything that makes the BABC sevent program run as smoothly as it does.”
Bob George – Principal at Ulysses Petroleum Management
Bob has a background in geology and business negotiations, with more than 50 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry. He has advised governments, National Oil Companies (NOCs), and International Oil Companies (IOCs) on petroleum policy and licensing, due diligence for acquisitions, divestments and financing, and has served as an expert witness in dispute resolution matters.
Prior to founding Ulysses Petroleum Management in 2018, Bob spent 40 years with an international oil and gas advisory firm with offices in the UK, Singapore, and Houston. He also served as Treasurer and Director of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) from 2021 to 2024. He will be supporting the Strategy and Governance Committee at BABC Texas.

Sharon L. Michaels – Attorney at Law
Sharon L. Michaels is the owner of a Houston-based law practice specializing in estate planning, trusts, and probate law. Licensed in Texas since 1983, she has extensive experience guiding individuals and families through probate and estate matters, with her firm having handled more than 1,000 probate cases in Harris and Fort Bend counties.
A former President of the Harris County Bar Association, Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with honors from Northwestern University and a law degree from the University of Houston. She serves as an adjunct faculty lecturer for the National Business Institute (NBI), delivering continuing legal education programs nationwide, and recently received the Institute’s 2025 Outstanding Faculty Award.
