About BABC Texas

Business support services with the power of a transatlantic network

The British American Business Council of Texas (BABC Texas) is a non-profit, international business association with a membership made up of UK & Texas-based companies and individuals involved, or interested, in transatlantic trade.

BABC Texas is a member of the British American Business Network (BABN), the leading transatlantic trade association incorporating the British-American Chamber of Commerce in the US and the American Chamber of Commerce in the UK. BABN consists of 22 chapters and over 2,000 member companies across the UK and North America. Its membership includes many of the world’s largest multinationals, as well as hundreds of middle-market and smaller companies.

BritishAmerican Business is a recognized partner of the US and UK governments for fostering trade relations between our two countries and help promote trade and investment to support those who make the transatlantic corridor part of their business growth ambition.

Our mission at the Texas chapter is to promote and strengthen bilateral trade and investment between the UK and Texas. We do this by offering a range of services.

Members enjoy practical business expansion opportunities through our high-caliber networking and marketing opportunities, top-quality business intelligence, regulatory advice, and the opportunity to achieve real business from the personal relationships they develop through their membership.

A message from James McLennan, BABC Texas President

Welcome to the British American Business Council of Texas! Having been involved with the BABC since I moved to Texas from the UK  in 2010, I have reaped many different rewards – both professionally and personally – through my involvement in this expansive and diverse network of people and companies that stretches right across the US.

Whether you are an individual or a small, medium or large sized business operating in Texas, I believe our network has something to offer you.  We have a diverse group of members represented by the make up of our Board and we continue to grow year on year.  Our aim is to strengthen UK and US (Texas) business ties through thought leadership, networking, events and education.

Above all, we are a fun group of people to be around so if you are not a member please consider joining and don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.
