Marianne and Elexis have known each other and worked together since 2010. Marianne is based in the UK and Elexis is in Texas. They both work with clients in the UK and US and have found that it helps to have a local connection when working in each other’s jurisdictions. What do you hope to achieve this year?

Marianne: AA Thornton is planning a period of significant growth for the firm and this includes strategies particularly relating to the US. These include objectives to:

1. Raise our US profile through education and thought leadership

2. Strengthen our existing relationships with US clients and attorneys

3. Develop industry contacts via involvement with US organisations

All of these objectives tie in perfectly with our involvement with BABC since it enables us to collaborate with Conley Rose on our upcoming webinar “Let’s Talk…Intellectual Property” and help educate other members of BABC.
