Sujeevan Satheesan was appointed as the British Consul General in Houston in July 2024. He is responsible for the UK’s bilateral relations with Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico.

Sujeevan’s has worked in both the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and in financial services. He has a deep knowledge of global economic issues from having worked on the London G20 Summit and with financial institutions in London.

Most recently Sujeevan, worked within the FCDO’s Europe Directorate. He also held roles where he led the UK’s bilateral relations with various countries. Sujeevan has been Spokesperson at the British Embassy in Paris and the Civil Law Counsellor at the UK Representation to the EU in Brussels. Read his full bio here.
