BABC Texas Welcomes New Board Member, Barnaby Philps

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Barnaby Philps, General Manager of Exploration for the U.S. Gulf of Mexico at Shell, to the BABC Texas Board of Directors.

Barnaby brings over 25 years of global experience in leading exploration and development projects across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Egypt, Brazil, Australia, and the U.S. A graduate of Imperial College London (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.), he began his career with BG Group as a geoscientist and has since taken on various leadership roles across the globe, including his most recent position at Shell, where he has been instrumental in exploration efforts in Myanmar, Malaysia, Brazil, and the U.S.

James McLennan, President of BABC Texas, expressed his excitement about Barnaby’s appointment, saying:

Barnaby is married to Ginny and has two children, Aurora (12) and Charlie (11). We look forward to his contributions and leadership in helping BABC Texas grow and thrive in the years to come.
