Texas Secures 14th Consecutive Governor’s Cup

Texas has once again been named the top state for corporate facility projects, securing Site Selection Magazine’s Governor’s Cup for a record-breaking 14th year in a row.

The 2025 data confirms that Texas remains the primary destination for business expansion and relocation in the United States. With 1,424 qualifying projects recorded last year, Texas more than doubled the project count of the second-ranked state. These projects represent over $75 billion in capital investment and are expected to create more than 42,000 new jobs across the state.

Key Highlights from 2025:

  • National Dominance: Texas accounted for approximately 18% of all qualifying corporate facility projects in the U.S.

  • Investment Scale: Over $75 billion in private-sector capital investment.

  • Regional Success: Houston ranked No. 2 nationally among Tier-1 metros, with Dallas-Fort Worth also placing in the top three.

  • Project Variety: Growth spanned key sectors including energy, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and aerospace.

This ranking highlights the state’s consistent business climate and the volume of opportunities available for companies moving to or expanding within Texas. For BABC Texas members, this growth underscores the state’s position as a primary gateway for international investment and trade.
