About Texas Piano Restoration
Texas Piano Restoration is led by Lucas Heuer, a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) and member of the Piano Technicians Guild, whose career in piano service and restoration was shaped through his work at Steinway Houston and Steinway Dallas. His experience in high-performance piano environments instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship, precision, and the role of the piano in performance and cultural life. Lucas’s international perspective has been shaped by living and working in Europe and Africa, most recently through advanced study in piano touch-weight design in Germany, where he deepened his technical understanding of how pianists experience sound and control at the keyboard. Today, he applies that expertise to restoration, tuning, and maintenance projects for schools, churches, performance venues, and private homes across Texas.
While Lucas is busy restoring pianos across Texas, his wife, Natalie Hendricks, can often be found representing Texas Piano Restoration at BABC events in both Dallas and Houston. A native Houstonian, Natalie brings a multidisciplinary and global perspective to the business. She holds degrees in both Music and Business from the University of Houston and is currently pursuing an LLB at the University of London. Natalie met Lucas while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon, beginning a shared international path shaped by time working abroad in Europe, fluency in French, and involvement with the Alliance Française and the European Chamber of Commerce. She supports Texas Piano Restoration across piano repair, operations, and strategic growth.
Membership Journey
Lucas and Natalie joined BABC Texas to continue engaging with internationally minded professionals and to remain connected to people from around the world while building their lives and business in Texas. With deep roots in Houston, growing activity in Dallas, and strong ties to Europe, BABC Texas reflects the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom and offers a natural community for cultural exchange, business growth, and meaningful global connections.
What’s Ahead
Over the next 6–12 months, Texas Piano Restoration is focused on expanding its presence in the Houston area while continuing to serve clients across the Dallas–Houston corridor. The team is also excited to deepen connections within Texas’s classical music and arts communities, drawing inspiration from the British piano tradition and recent visits to Steinway London and the C. Bechstein Centre in Manchester.
Collaboration Opportunities
Texas Piano Restoration welcomes collaboration with fellow BABC Texas members through joint cultural or music-focused events, introductions within Houston and Dallas arts communities, and partnerships that celebrate international connection. Areas of interest include supporting performances, engaging arts patrons, and collaborating with organizations that value heritage, craftsmanship, and global perspective.
