A word from James McLennan, BABC Texas President

As many of you will know, the Texas economy is the 8th largest in the world. UK-Texas bilateral trade in goods and services is worth approximately $25 billion and Texas is a top 15 global trade market for the United Kingdom.

Texas and the UK share several industry strengths, and thanks to trading and investment partners, like the United Kingdom, Texas upholds its reputation as a leader in the global economy. You can read more about Texas and UK Trade and FDI here.

2022 has been a pivotal year for BABC Texas as we come out of the global pandemic and move back to more in-person events and networking again.  The BABC Texas Board would like to thank Sarah Durbridge, our Executive Director, for all her hard work this year in leading our mission to promote and strengthen bilateral trade and investment between the UK and Texas.  As our membership continues to grow at all levels and our events calendar expands, 2023 promises to be a year where all of us will benefit greatly from being a BABC Texas member.  We recruited two Board members this year and will be looking to recruit more at our AGM in Q1 of 2023. Please get in touch if you are interested.

The BABC Board would like to thank you all for your membership and active involvement within the BABC community. If you wish to learn more about BABC Texas or become more involved as a volunteer, please schedule a call with Sarah here.

We wish you all a very happy holiday and a prosperous new year.
