BABC Texas has a sister organization, the British American Foundation of Texas. This 501c3 nonprofit was set up by BABC Texas Board Members in 2006 with the aim of raising scholarship funds for academically gifted, yet financially disadvantaged youth. Since then, BAFTX has supported over 900 young people and awarded nearly $1.6 million in scholarships. BAFTX scholars are our future engineers, analysts, entrepreneurs, and leaders. They are ambitious, driven, and smart; however, due to the discrepancy between government funding and rising tuition rates, these mostly first-generation college students are increasingly dependent on scholarships to remain in education and graduate.
